Welcome to our new adVINture blog, where we will explore the world of wine, discovering new and interesting wines together!

For us, wine is all about specific people who are behind the bottle, which is why here at adVINture we love to get to know the families and winemaking of our producers that dedicate a lifetime of love and care to their passion. Does this mean something to you?

In our opinion it means that we can be certain for every wine we buy and sell, guaranteeing quality, provenance and absolute deliciousness, because we are free to buy wines which we believe in, enjoy and love to drink ourselves vs solely focusing on products which generate the most profit.

So for this summer we want to recommend some of our favourites to you:

(if it all look a little overwhelming, deep breath and just remember there are 3 important pieces of information to look out for when choosing your wine, so you get to know what you like – grape, producer and country)

  • Touraine – a Sauvignon Blanc by Domaine Bonnigal-Bodet in Loire, France
  • Viognier – a Viognier by Saronsberg Wines in South Africa
  • Bierzo Blanco – a Godello by Bodegas Cobertizo in Spain
  • ‘Les Glaciaires’ Blanc – a blend of white grapes by Domaine Gardiés in Roussillon, France
  • Costières de Nîmes Blanc ‘Générations’ – a blend of white grapes by Mas Carlot in Rhône, France
  • Ventoux Blanc – a blend of white grapes by Domaine de Fondrèche in Rhône, France
  • ‘La Madone’ – a Gamay by Les Vins de la Madone in Loire, France
  • ‘Le Chapitre’ – a Pinot Noir by Domaine Réthoré-Davy in Loire, France
  • ‘Les Messanges’ Chinon Rouge – a Cabernet Franc by Domaine de Pallus in Loire, France
  • Manzanilla Sherry – a fortified wine by Bodegas La Cigarrera in Spain

So you don’t miss out, here’s a little taster to a couple of these amazing wines we’ve picked for you:

Costières de Nîmes Blanc ‘Générations’ by Mas Carlot – This wine comes from the Rhône Valley and tastes like refined savoury peach marmalade, apricots, honeyed pears and a touch of buttered brioche. This rich white pairs deliciously with shellfish, chicken, veal or pork.

Domaine de Fondrèche Ventoux Blanc 2018 – This winery maintains the health of the soil and grapes, growing them in the best ecological way possible. That means, no chemical or fertilisers whilst respecting the lunar calendar to strengthen the natural defences of the vine. This wine has wonderful fragrances of white flowers, peach and grapefruit, with textural flow and a fine saline stone fruit tease on the finish.

Find these delicious wines on our website to place your order and quote promo code BLOG6 in the delivery instructions so we know where your inspiration came from.

Enjoy your summer!
