A Master of Riesling (Dönnhoff) Case
Gault Millau German ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in 1999, Helmut Dönnhoff has now relinquished the reigns of the estate to his equally dedicated and talented son, Cornelius. This is the most highly regarded cellar in the entire Nahe Valley and is deservedly thought of as one of the finest Riesling producers in the world. Helmut and Cornelius are convinced that their recent vintages show the power, intensity and minerality for which their wines have become so renowned. We have put together a case of the best of their Rieslings.
The Mixed German Red & White Case
A sample of some of the best of our catalogue. With incredible whites from our star producers Fürst family as well as one of our favourite Pinot Noirs from Weingut Bergdolt-Reif & Nett. This hand-picked case is a great introduction to Germany wines if you are feeling over whelmed by the selection (and want to impress your friends).
The Mixed German White Case
Riesling is the traditionally benchmark grape in Germany and covers the most area in Germany. However beyond Riesling’s dominance, the country boasts a fantastic diversity of intriguing white wines. In this case you will find varities such as Silvaner and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) as well the Traditional Chardonnay and Riesling.
The Mixed German Red Case
German red wines have been overlooked for years but are fast becoming a must have for any wine lover. The principal grape variety here is Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) of which they produce wines with great depth. As well as Spätburgunder we have included a Lemberger in this case, otherwise known as Blaufrankisch which has a natural brightness to its crisp black fruit as well a Frühburgunder (very early ripening strain of Mutation of Pinot Noir) from the Fürst family.
The 6 Course German Feast Case
The perfect curated selection of German wines to compliment every course of your meal. Whether it be a cleansing Sparkling wine to enjoy with smoked salmon or an Off-Dry Riesling to have with your next Thai Meal. We have also included a delectable Pinot Noir that pairs fantastically with any winter Game and Sweet Wine to sip with your Sticky Toffee Pudding.
The 6 Course German Feast Premium Case
Looking to up your dinner game? This is the case for you. Packed full of the best examples of German Wines. A Riesling from one of the countries top Producers to have with your next Indian Takeaway. Or Why not try a Silvaner or Chardonnay with some Local Rainbow Trout or Grilled Tuna. We’ve even included a fantastic Spätburgunder to enjoy alongside your next Sunday Roast.
