Tasting note

Brilliance with slight greenish hues. Prominent citrus notes accompanied by aromas of green apple and toastiness from the oak. An intense wine, very fresh, well balanced with a long finish. It has good cellaring potential.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate (

The obscure white Maturana Blanca, unrelated to the red Maturana, produced the impressive, aromatic, subtle, balanced and fresh 2016 Viña Pomal Vinos Singulares Maturana Blanca, which feels like an improvement over the 2014 I tasted last time, with better-integrated oak, moderate alcohol and great freshness. It's elegant, clean and very tasty. I need to taste more Maturana Blanca.. This time, I liked it better than the Tempranillo Blanco. 1,200 bottles were filled in June 2017.
