About the wine
90% Tinta del País, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from family-owned vineyards with all vines over 30 years of age. Traditional preparation with cutting-edge temperature control techniques during fermentation and maceration. Aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 21 months, racking every 3 months. The wine undergoes 15 months maturation in French oak as well as 6 months in American oak, with bottle ageing for at least 18-24 months before release.
Extremely well-balanced with an attractive and intense deep cherry colour with light purple glints and an amberish brick rim. Particularly subtle nose with ripe fruit aromas harmoniously combined with toasty and spicy notes (vanilla and cinnamon) including roasty nuances and hints of coffee. Surprisingly feshy with a perfectly balanced acidity and a lingering finish. Round with ripe, subtle and elegant tannins together with an extremely pleasant mouthfeel. Great wine very well balanced, somehow surprising and suggestive.
